Living in "Crisis Driven World "

Like you (youth) all,

I am living in a crisis driven world. And what I mean by that is that todays world is not driven by the cauntious decisions of our leaders but by the attempts to prevent or respond to a crisis in making or in hand. Following are major classification of crisis of contemparary world.

Economic :- Financial Crisis(our banks & other financial institutions going bankrupt) , Sovereign debt crisis (our govt going bankrupt), Credit crisis (basically we going bankrupt.

Social Crisis:- North-south divide, Terrorism, wars in Islamic world, Transition in cultures/language/political models across the globe.

Environmental Crisis:- Climate change, Copenhagen Submit (I see climate change & Copenhagen submit as totally independent entities...will explain in following blogs)

Health Crisis:- AIDs, Swine flu,

And list continues ........ U can develop further form here

To my mind, part of the problem, is that now its a fashion to present every problem in form of crisis and with the element of urgency to younger world (generation). This will reduce their scope (input) in the decision making as well as compel them to follow instructions in this tight situations. This has made youth less proactive in their response towards happenings of their worlds and kind of "impotent" to the reality. Best example would be that, our leaders (or for that matter us/youth) would not react to a simple problems unless and until it becomes "CRISIS".

Another half of the problem is that, we are connected more them ever, and any abnormality in this vast ecosystem of information and capital, has much larger ripple effects. For example, if housing market of US would collapse, thousands of workers in developing countries will lose there jobs.
